The images in this series were shot with an infrared camera in Svalbard, Norway in the High Arctic in 2017. They depict large piles of beluga whale bones, cleaned and sorted during whale hunts a century ago. The dozen or so heaps of bones sit along the perimeter of a secluded cove where whales were herded, now a national heritage site, their ordered, wreath-like piles quietly haunt the beach.
